OPTIONS IN LONG TERM CARE

Nursing Facilities
For individuals already disabled to the point of requiring daily nursing care as well as other support services, nursing facilities provide comprehensive care services in a single setting. Nursing facility residents normally require assistance with at least three to five activities of daily living. While many people see the nursing facility as a last resort, these facilities are, in fact, the best setting for disabled persons with multiple problems and requiring multiple types of services.
